I told y’all how the guv’mint went back and took them creatures’ bones. Cotton pickin’ case is closed. As far as bonin’ Larry goes, that ain’t nobody’s business. So that case is closed too. Y’all asked. I answered. I got nothin’ to hide. That Neon thought he’d be sendin’ my ass to jail. Well we’ll all see who’s ass is goin’ to cotton pickin’ jail after I reprot his ass to GMail.
There is one more issue we all have to discuss. Them regulators brought it up, but you listeners want an answer too. You deserve it. And I ain’t one to hold back the truth. I kinda held this back ’cause it ain’t been fully investigated yet. So, I’ll tell y’all where this is at, and then we won’t discuss it no more ’til all the facts are in. We ain’t ne’er been like that Larry. If’n we say somethin’, we back it up with proof. Larry ain’t got no cotton pickin’ proof he broke it off with me. Anyways, y’all wanna know more ’bout the lizard people.

Anyways, the lizard people is here. Been here for a while. Why some person even voted for one up in Minnesota where that Jew comedian is runnin’ for Senate. Vote got thrown out ’cause lizard people ain’t natural born. Since Obama ain’t natural born, I got to thinkin’. Obama is one of them lizard people!
Them lizard people is extraterrestrial, what means they from outer space. Taint human, but close. Anyways, they’re here for farmin’…farmin’ human seed!
Hold on, now! Sounds a bit fetched, but i know. They all done harvested some cotton pickin’ seed from old Ed! Let me explain.
Seems like some sorta nuclear accident made all the lizard people males sterile. Their technology is way ahead of ours here in America, so they is able to mess with the DNA. Male human seed turns out is pretty cotton pickin’ close to lizard people seed ‘cept for the scales. How many of you young bucks out there ain’t propositioned some young filly by askin’ if’n she wants you to unleash the lizard?
Anyway, they go through the human seed DNA and toss out the non-lizard people parts and then use it to make more lizard people. But, they do make mistakes… bigfeets is one of ‘em. That’s why the lizard people kinda protect ‘em. You can usually tell other mistakes like those what keep lickin their lips a lot. That lip lickin’ is how they stole my seed.
I was in a bar late one night when this what I thought was a woman comes up and sets herself on the stool next to me. She kept lickin’ these big red lips and I had enough cotton pickin’ Buds in me that even Clete, the bartender, was startin’ to look purty. My wife is a little jealous of ole Clete. Anyway, long story short, she musta doped me up ’cause next thing I know I’m making a deposit.
So here’s how y’all know if you’re with a lizard lady. First, they ain’t as purty as reg’lar white women, though you may not notice as they like bucks what’s been drinkin’ hard. Second, even though they appear drunk as hell, they won’t let ya go bareback. They all insist on a cotton pickin’ condom, which ain’t nothin’ more than a deposit envelope for the lizard sperm bank. Third, unlike regular white women, there’s no penalty for early withdrawal.
So’s like I said earlier. I think I can now prove Obama’s one of those lizard people. And ain’t nothin’ ’bout lettin’ lizard people vote much less be pres’dent in the Constitution. This is how we stop ‘em, people!

I saw this on the previous thread and wanted to get an answer to you:
The Illinois Secretary of State, as do other Secretaries of State, not only is in charge of elections, but certifying elections. The SoS also certifies appointments like this (the form naming Burris to the senate seat contained a line for Blagojevich’s signature and the SoS’s signature). Blago signed the certification. The Illinois SoS, Jessie White refused to sign it.
Now Blago, as governor of Illinois has as one of his powers the absolute right to name the next senator to Obama’s unexpired term. What’s now up to the courts is if the SoS can refuse to sign the certificate. The SoS is a separate elective office. Blago can’t fire him. He cannot order the SoS to sign the certificate. But can Burris be certified to the Senate as the Governor’s senate-designee? Who the hell knows (and the courts hate these cases).
This is a real crap shoot, because no one knows what the courts are going to do. Now in the Adam Clayton Powell case, the House had to swear him in, BUT the big difference between the two situations is that Powell was elected and Burris was appointed. And from what I’ve seen, the Senate is going to use every rule they have to prevent Burris from being sworn in, and they have lots of rules. They can and will drag this out. If they’re forced to swear him in, he’s not going to be sitting on any committees or subcommittees. He will have voting privileges on the floor and he will get an office.
But now what happens if Blago is impeached, tried and removed from office before Burris is sworn in? Can the Lt. Gov. withdraw the appointment and name someone else?
Needless to say, it’s a mess. And that’s exactly what Blago wants.

As for this Burris thing that no one in the media has pointed out (perhaps it wasn’t pointed out because I’m wrong about this), I find the reason the Senate turned him away today to be rather odd.
The Senate said that his paperwork was not signed off by the IL Secretary of State so it was incomplete. If I’m not mistaken, the Sec State is in charge of elections. Since Burris was appointed and not elected, the Sec State should have nothing to do with this so his signature shouldn’t be required.
Am I missing something?

Just remember the President saves the BIG (and most controversial) pardons for the last couple days before his term of office ends. If Bush wants to pardon them, he has the opportunity to do so until 11:59 a.m. on January 20, 2009.

Maybe not so much smaht. Dianne Feinstein is now saying that Burris’ appointment is legal. (I think Feinstein also objected to Leon Panetta’s nomination today–she’s getting downright feisty.) But Feinstein is one senator out of 97 (Illinois, Minnesota and New York only have one senator, if my counting’s right). I think Reid and others do not want any Blago nominee in there.

Feinstein is head of the Senate Rules Committee and she should know better. The Senate cited Rule 2 for not seating Burris, which covers the required duties of the Sec State. Feinstein says that Rule 2 does not require the signature, but only for the Sec State to enter the appointees name in the Sec State book. I might go back and see if I can look at Rule 2 for myself.
I can see Feinstein’s problems with Leon Panetta’s appointment, but I think she should give him a chance. While not that experienced in the intel world, he is a very intelligent man who is excellent with budgets and personnel issues, so he’ll be fine with the administrative duties of the position.
As far as policy and tasking, he’s not the most experienced, no. However, serving as Clinton’s Chief of Staff, he was neck deep in intel agcy issues. I think he’ll do fine.

Hi Glix…you may be right. Although several pundits said, the Senate could avoid a court battle by accepting him in and then having some sort of meeting to determine his eligibility. That way he has his foot in the door and the courts don’t like to interfere in Senate buisiness. It would then be soley a Senate issue, which can be tabled and held up for months if not longer. The idea is to take him in under certain conditions. Once he’s in, the courts won’t touch it, but he will still have to wait for the senate ruling at that point, before he could participate on the floor.

We have had disagreements that are irreconcilable, and we will no longer be appearing with each other. It is our right to disagree and if the disagreement cannot be resolved amicably, we find it better that we do not work together. This is true especially if we still share the same goal of defeating Barack Obama and Joe Biden by electing John McCain and Sarah Palin.
We still share the same beliefs that Hillary Clinton is the superior candidate but was robbed of this election by Barack Obama and the elites of the DNC. We both also feel that the victim Hillary Clinton was made to apologize to the perpetrator Barack Obama in the form of endorsing the perpetrator publically during the Democratic National Convention. She was made to do this by the DNC elites under the threat of isolating her from the party.
We now realize that Obots sent from Obama’s camp have been fueling the fires between us, with the purpose of dividing our efforts and causing us not to discuss the issues, but instead they have been provoking us from discussing the real issues that are important to our listeners. This conduct cannot be rewarded.
We still disagree on issues and will not reconcile these differences, but we both realize that our common goal is being threatened by people outside who do not share our goals. We here by issue this joint statement that we will never mention each other on our shows in a negative light. We will not tolerate callers or guests in our chat room talking bad against each other. The top are lawyers who graduate from prestigious (and VERY expensive) Ivy League law schools like Harvard, Yale, etc. plus Stanford, Duke and a few others. Counting Electoral Votes in Congress
Public Law 110-430 changed the date of the electoral vote in Congress in 2009 from January 6 to January 8. This date change is effective only for the 2008 presidential election.
The Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes (Congress may pass a law to change the date). The President of the Senate is the presiding officer. If a Senator and a House member jointly submit an objection, each House would retire to its chamber to consider it. The President and Vice President must achieve a majority of electoral votes (270) to be elected. In the absence of a majority, the House selects the President, and the Senate selects the Vice President. If a State submits conflicting sets of electoral votes to Congress, the two Houses acting concurrently may accept or reject the votes. If they do not concur, the votes of the electors certified by the Governor of the State would be counted in Congress.
