New Gadget Alert: Mattel Mind Flex

Submitted by ZeN on Friday, 9 January 20097 Comments

Mattel’s Mind Flex is a new game where you use brain waves to levitate a ball and navigate a series of customizable obstacles. The user wears a head set with earlobe clips and by focusing concentration can control the speed of a small fan under the deck that levitates the ball. You then use a dial to rotate the deck and try to make it through the obstacle course. This game is set to debut this fall and will retail for $80. Mattel has a new line of digital games set to mix things up in 2009.

That is pretty amazing. I expected to think it was a hoax but whenever the guy would look down at that ball it would start to rise again. Now I want one.

    WHAT!!!

I can already bend spoons and shit with my mind. I have a feeling there might be a horrific incident if I even attempt too wear the headset.

Aww man Chris, that Mac Book Pro is AWESOME!!!!!!!! If I had 3Gs I’d get it tomorrow! What a piece of machine…whew. 4 gig memory…250 HD!!

Now for the original post…that IS a pretty cool machine Glix. I just think that there should be more for one’s 80 bucks beside seeing to feather light balls rise and fall from brain waves.

    I’ll wait for 3.0 LOL

  • Glix says:

kstreet67 — Yep, 3.0 will be an Obot army run entirely on brain waves. ;)

I think I’ll buy one of these and send it to a friend of mine who has Huntington’s Chorea(sp?). It seems like the kind of thing he would get a kick out of and it could be a conversation piece for people who visit him.

Come to think of it, my brother would like one too and so would his wife. He’s an engineer and she’s a mathematician and physicist. It’s just geeky enough for them.

Which one of you nerd techies know where I can find a Monster Pack to flash my Non-Itunes V3i phone?
