False Reports, Illegal Aliens, and Aggressive Cross Dressers

Submitted by ZeN on Friday, 5 February 2010362 Comments

We were provided the following letter by an independent source some time ago. The names in this report have been changed.

Please find that it is with deep regret that I must present this complaint and claim to your company. In an effort to be clear on each issue, I will address them individually and specifically.

I. of Hotel Liability I claim four thousand dollars theft of.

While guest at the Holiday Inn Civic Center, Laredo, from March 1st thru March 4, 2007. On March 4, 2007 between the hours of approx: 3:30 AM and 5:00 AM, four thousand dollars ($4,000) was stolen from room 828 which I was staying in.

At approx: 3:25 AM on 3/-4-/07. I rented Rm. 1223 for two friends, Mr. & Mrs. Juan M. of Laredo. After receiving the key I went to 828 to pick up beverages to take to 1223. Prior to going to 1223 I placed an order for food with Denny’s, which Hotel Security Charles agreed to pick up - While with my guests in Rm. 1223 I contacted Pat at front desk requesting he bring toothbrushes & toothpaste to Rm. 1223 I also instructed him to make a key for 828 and stop by the room, and take a one hundred dollar ($100) tip. Pat said “okay”. Several minutes later, when Pat had not yet arrived at Rm. 1223 I called front desk again to ask for: shampoo, lotion & pillows as well as the previous items. This call was not answered and I thought Pat was already on his way up to 1223. After approx. 15 minutes, and Pat had not arrived I called a third time to front desk - Pat answered and I requested the shampoo and lotion. On this call Pat stated he could not leave front desk, because he was the only one in hotel.

During this same time I called Denny’s to add to order Juan, Denny’s, night manager advised me Charles was at Denny’s & food was almost ready

On Charles’ return to hotel he arrived at Rm. 1223 with the items requested from Pat & Denny’s food. Charles, myself and my guest Alex Smith (Rm. 814) then left 1223 and went to 8th floor with food for myself and Alex. Charles Hotel Security opened Rm. 828 for me with a key he had brought up with him when delivering the food. Once opening 828 Charles went to 814 with Mr. Smith assisting with carrying food. Upon Charles’s return to Rm. 828 (Approx. 5 minutes later.) I asked if hotel had cameras to see who enters the rooms - I then advised Charles that $4,000 had been removed from the night stand in my room and I had only authorized Pat to take a $100 tip. -

At this time I instructed Charles not to say anything to Pat or anyone until I could contact James Jones and/or Sue Callaway - I had contacted front desk again asking for Pat to call Hotel GM: Sue Callaway for me. Approx. 5 minutes later Pat called Rm. 828 asking if I had Ms. Callaway’s phone number, because he did not have it - I advised I did not have the number. I was able to leave voice messages for James Jones G.S Manager and F.D Super advisor. The theft was reported to G.M Sue Callaway and Laredo P.D - After I repeated attempts to contact Holiday Inn Security Charles by L. Callaway, he finally spoke with her and then outright lied about having been given the key to 828 upon his return from Denny’s by F.D Clerk Pat. I feel violated by the same individuals I have gone to great links to assure they are respected and rewarded for their service while a guest at Holiday Inn C.C Laredo. Hotel key logs confirm the same key Hotel Security used to let me in Rm. 828, after leaving Rm. 1223 was used to enter Rm. 828 approx. 15 to 20 minutes earlier. This key was provided by Front Desk directly to Hotel Security -

II. Failure to control disrespectful and threatening bar guests.
On 2/16/07 I arranged with Holiday Inn C.C. Laredo to entertain guests at hotel and Covey Lounge in hotel. While in Covey Lounge with said guests a local bar patron known to me only as Michael, who is known as openly gay male, did make an unwanted and unrestricted sexual advance towards Mr. Pepe Sanchez, my friend and brother of the guest of honor - I asked Hotel Staff James Jones, G.S Manager to ask Michael to please refrain from disrespecting, me or my guests as I did not want to have to move my event and guests to another property in order for my guests to be comfortable. I informed Mr. Jones that Michael had just one week before - “followed my employee Lupe Cordoba to the lobby restroom standing up against him while using restroom, begging Mr. Cordoba to introduce Michael to me. Mr. Jones did on 2/16/07 deal with the problem.

On 3/2/07 while entertaining guests at Holiday Inn C.C. and Covey Lounge I was approached by several individuals who are friends with Michael. First these individuals attempt to solicit $1,500 from me to sponsor and alleged “youth sports team” - when asked, why me? I was told, because Holiday Inn C.C Security had informed these people and Michael that I tip hotel staff $100 bills and would believe it if they claimed it was for kids.

Later the same evening, at approx. 11:45 PM Michael enters the Covey Lounge in full women’s attire and approached my tables - at this time I asked Covey Lounge manager Pablo Menendez to please have Michael; who was a man dressed in women’s clothing, removed from the bar. Mr. Menendez and Hotel Security Charles spoke with Michael in the lobby with Michael’s friends involved in the discussion. Michael left the hotel while his friends returned to the Covey Lounge. Upon returning to the Covey these individuals began making verbal threats of bodily injury against me - Short time later Michael returns to the Covey in shirt and pants. On his return I personally hear Michael tell his friends the Hotel Security was discriminating against him because he is gay, because “Sinclair is buying the Staff.” etc… I then advised Hotel staff if, Michael was allowed to stay and continue to cause problems, I would immediately move my lounge guests and hotel guests to another hotel. At this time I advised Michael if he did not leave and cease the slanderous statements and threats of physical harm, I would have him and his friends arrested. I was then threatened by his friends and immediately informed Mr. Menendez, Charles, and Front Desk Staff, that I normally would immediately strike to disable anyone who threatened to physically harm me but due to my respect for the Holiday Inn C.C and its’ staff I was going to let them deal with it. I did however inform Mr. Menendez the situation had to be dealt with immediately, or I would deal with it.

Mr. Menendez and Charles, Holiday Inn C.C. Security, again spoke with Michael, and again did so with his friends present and involved. While Michael did leave to the hotel entrance, two female friends, who Mr. Menendez & HICC Security allowed to participate in their discussions, return to the Covey making threats against me in front of hotel security and Mr. Menendez. At this time I called Laredo P.D and G.M Sue Callaway - I asked Holiday Inn C.C Security, Charles to prevent these individuals from leaving until police arrived, Charles refused. Hotel Front Desk Supervisor did inform these individuals he would have to ask them to remain until Laredo P.D arrived.

Guest services Manager James Jones arrived, as a gentleman who had threatened my life approached my neighbors 16yr old brother putting his arms around the kids neck trying to walk to the elevator. I instructed this man to remove his arm from my guests neck, when he did not comply with the third request I used my forearm to separate him. It was at this time Mr. Jones had to assert control and Laredo P.D arrived shortly afterwards.

While P.D were speaking with me and Hotel Staff, I saw Holiday Inn C.C Security Charles assisting Michaels friends in their exiting the hotel via “garage elevator” , after I returned to my room, I am informed that per Pablo Menendez, General Beverage Control instructed Mr. Menendez any future incidents Mr. Menendez would have to have me removed from HICC property at once.

III. HICC Employee Slander - In capacity of HICC Representative

As a regular guest of Holiday Inn Civic Center, I also employee the services of Allied Car Service.

On three separate occasions while a guest at HICC and employing Allied Car Service, HICC Security Charles has approached me personally and asked me if I knew about Allied Car owners. I informed Charles that Mr. Dimitri was a personal friend. Charles then insisted on informing me the owner was Fernando’s brother, not Fernando, that the owner was a criminal as was Fernando and the whole family. Charles was advised by me to refrain from making statements of this nature to me or anyone else. On two future stays at H.I.C.C while using Allied Car Service I personally witnessed Charles tell other HICC guests asking how to contact Allied Car not to use Allied Car because the owners are convicted criminals and HICC guests safety would be in jeopardy with Allied Car - On at least three occasions, I reported to HICC Guest Services manager James Jones, of HICC Security, Employee Charles’s slanderous statements, and of the Hotels Risk of Liability for individuals acting in capacity of employee of HICC slandering, legally operated local businesses .On 3-/4/07 while being interviewed regarding the theft of the four thousand dollars from room 828 by Hotel Management. HICC Security Charles did again make slanderous statements against Allied Car Service as well as towards me personally. Worse, HICC Security Employee invaded the privacy of my guests who were also guests at HICC. Charles made statements that I had 15 people in Rm. 1401 and stated these people were illegal aliens - when asked how he knew this, Charles informed Hotel Management that he investigated my guests. On 3/1/07 I contacted HICC G.M advising I had guests I wanted to accommodate in one room if possible, because they were family - I informed Ms. Callaway it was 11 people and I thought Rm. 1401 would be perfect due to space, and ease of using rollways – Charles’ claim of 15 people in Rm. 1401 was false. Second, my friends are my friends, and I do not, nor is it by right or business to inquire into any individuals legal status or residency - furthermore, Charles violated mine as well as my guests privacy by investigating my guests and making such claims. Charles making claims that I was using HICC to house illegal aliens and that I would put HICC at risk because of the “$100 tips” I give, is grounds for legal action alone - Not to mention Charles made $500 in tips from me alone 3/3/07 thru 3-/4/07.Charles has no problem taking alcohol from hotel and placing in limo with his hand out, but has a problem with me having guests of Latin decent. Mr. Dimitri of Allied Car Service has been advised of the slander against him, his family, and his company I am submitting this to Hotel Management and Ownership in effort to resolve these matters amicably out of respect for HICC Management & Staff who are the reason I do business with, and refers business to HICC. It is my position that HICC is liable got the theft of the $4,000 from Rm. 828 because it was committed by use of key in possession of Hotel Security - The other issues set out here in are serious and must be resolved. Until they are I do not feel comfortable at HICC. Respectfully,

Lawrence Sinclair

The Regulator contributor we all know as “Where’s the Proof Larry” was intrigued by this and spoke to a source who had some knowledge of these incidents and was willing to comment  on Sinclair’s story and the associated complaints.

According to our second source, Sinclair was getting $12,000 a head for bringing illegal aliens into the country. The source claimed that Sinclair had as many as 15 suspected illegal aliens who looked Mexican and that they were living in a single hotel room at one time with as many as four rooms booked at the same time with three of them full of these people.

The source also confirmed that this was not a one time event. He alleged that Sinclair had been at this same hotel a few times with criminals and what appeared to be illegal aliens.

Allegedly, when Sinclair was confronted with this activity there was a dispute and discontent was expressed to him regarding the criminal element hanging around the hotel. This second source said that Larry tipped hotel staff as much as $300 to deliver a single pack of cigarettes to his room and that was only one of many examples of extraordinary tipping by Larry of $100 or more to hotel staff for minor tasks. Not bad for a guy struggling to get by on Texas SSA, eh?.

Sinclair appears to suggest in this above complaint to the hotel alleged to have been written by him that by accepting such inappropriate gratuities that the hotel staff is to be held suspect in the alleged theft. Once againthese complaints alleged to have been made by Sinclair create an “impossible to prove” scenario relying only on the weight of his word as “evidence” while trying to push the burden of proof onto the accused.

It was confirmed by our source that the hotel denied Sinclair’s claim of $4,000. A police report was then allegedly filed by Sinclair against the hotel which we were told that the the Laredo police investigated.

We did some other basic fact checking on this written complaint to confirm some of the real names originally in the report and some of the facts that frame the written complaint though like the hotel found, there was no evidence found of wrong doing on the hotel’s part. We found nothing to indicate yet that our sources were not being truthful. We’re still looking into the incident.

We were also told that the State Police and Border Patrol may have attempted to raid the house in which Sinclair was living after receiving reports of the housing of illegal aliens but all that was left was a foul stench by the time the authorities arrived.  Sinclair resurfaced on March 23, 2007, when it was reported that he wrote a fraudulent check on a Closed Bank of America Checking Account to an indigent Vivian Bowman also of Laredo, Texas.

Is candidate Larry Sinclair really the type of person that the people of Florida’s 24th District want representing their interests?

  • Where's the illegal aliens, Larry? says:

LWS: Yes, could I have 13 foldaway cots sent to room 106, 11 cots to room 109 and 9 cots to room 111. We’re not going to use them. We just have a thing for lots of cots! Stackable bunk beds would be better and even more fun …

My guests are really tired from a lot of crawling.

STAFF: For one, we don’t have nearly that many cots. Secondly, that’ll cost you $25 per cot that we do have …

LWS: Oh, on that basis, that’s too much. They’ll just have to rough it. Here’s $300. Get me a pack of smokes, ok?
    :)

    Where’s the illegal aliens, Larry?

  • RuhRoh says:

So the long and short of this letter is:

-Larry claims to have left $4k on a nightstand, directed hotel staff to go to the room and take $100, and his purported $4k went AWOL.

-Larry quibbles with the hotel staff about whether there were 15 people to a room or 11 people to a room. Seems to me as though that’s like saying one is a little pregnant, no? I’m sure the rooms aren’t coded for 11 people or for 15.

-Larry was upset about sexual advances made in a bar. Had he never been to a bar?

-Larry took offense at the suggestion that this multitude of people in various rooms for which he paid was a fresh batch of illegals.

-Larry took offense that a hotel employee thought Larry’s limo company of choice was run by criminals.

-Larry thought that outrageous tips to hotel staff should have bought their silence regarding his suspicious activities on hotel grounds.

-The hotel did nothing about his unverified claims.

Are those the highlights? Because reading his letter is giving me a migraine.

So, El Coyote joto gives $100.00 tips playing like he is a player, but still sucks at the taxpayer teat. Did he stash any of his ill-gotten proceeds with Moma? If so, why the bankruptcy filing? Oh,…Travelers wanted to stiff someone.

Emanuel is still waiting for the follow-up call. Pelo de caca.

  • kato says:

    WTPL,

    Question: Wasn’t Sinclair collecting SSI/Disability in 2007 ???

Are they aware he was handing out $100.00 tips to the hotel staff, and that he submitted a claim of $4,000.00 being stolen from his hotel room ?

Sinclair had 11-15 people in a room at one time, that HE paid for.

SSI should find that information to be VERY interesting.

  • RuhRoh says:

    joeymac and kato,

You’re right! He was collecting SSI then!

And he himself claims to have doled out $500 to ONE hotel employee across 48 hours. Isn’t that interesting?

We’ve always known that he was a lifetime criminal and fraud, but it’s always nice to see him admit to it in his own words.

  • Glix says:

Thanks for the analysis ZeN. It was very hard to follow the verbal diarrhea in Larry’s letter.

On the face of it, it appears that he was using a respectable hotel as a way station for illegals.

The amusing part is Larry was livid when a gay bartender ignored him and was hitting on one of his “guests” instead.

  • ZeN says:

Thanks Glix, but all the credit goes to WTPL for the great follow-up, and to Meesheemey for never letting this one get away. We have had this info for a very long time but never acted on it.

    Great work!!

  • kato says:

  • kato says:

You know, I’ve read the letter 5 times, trying to figure out WTF is wrong with Sinclair.

Everytime I read the letter, I come away thinking “what a asshole”.

The Hotel Staff probably said the same thing to themselves as they were pocketing his money.

  • ZeN says:

    From the complaint:

“I was then threatened by his friends and immediately informed Mr. Menendez, Charles, and Front Desk Staff, that I normally would immediately strike to disable anyone who threatened to physically harm me but due to my respect for the Holiday Inn C.C and its’ staff I was going to let them deal with it. I did however inform Mr. Menendez the situation had to be dealt with immediately, or I would deal with it.”

Real tough talk from a mark ass bitch that waves around a Pellet Gun
    to appear threatening.

  • gilligan says:

He never breaks his pattern. And extortion while committing felonies himself is paramount in his febrile brain.

He’s always willing to exploit and extort. What a DOUCHE.

WTPL, Meesh and ZeN–great job in knocking holes in yet another of Larry’s lies.

  • Sweet Sarah says:

    “exploit and extort”

    We have a winner!

those two words are reason enough not to elect the silly sob to office we have had enough of that already.

    Hey Sinclair.
    It’s time for a change!

now roll over so your “baby sitters” can powder your behind.

Indeed, kudos to you all: Meesh, Zen, WTPL and anyone else that put together and verified the information in this post. It’s hard and tedious work.

  • democratista says:

That sounds like Larry all right. Great work, WTPL (Zen and Meesh, too).

Everybody is always causing problems for him. Nothing is ever his fault. Money is the almighty. If I give away $100 bills, I will be treated well. How about acting like a human being instead of an asshole?

AND IT WAS ONLY 11 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM….stomping feet….

    What a loser…

  • joeymac says:

Ohh, boy. If anyone was unconvinced of the racist nature of the “tea party” adherents, they are now dis-abused of that notion.
Tea Party opening speaker suggests law that kept blacks be kept from voting be reinstated

The opening night speaker at the Tea Party convention suggested a return to a “literacy test” to protect America from presidents like Obama — a segregation-era method employed by southern US states to keep blacks from voting.

In his speech Thursday to attendees, former Republican congressman Tom Tancredo invoked the loaded pre-civil rights era buzzword, saying that President Barack Obama was elected because “we do not have a civics, literacy test before people can vote in this country.”

Southern states used literacy tests as part of an effort to deny suffrage to African American voters prior to Johnson-era civil rights laws.

“Prior to passage of the federal Voting Rights Act in 1965, Southern (and some Western) states maintained elaborate voter registration procedures whose primary purpose was to deny the vote to those who were not white,” a website for civil rights veterans explains. “In the South, this process was often called the ‘literacy test.’ In fact, it was much more than a simple test, it was an entire complex system devoted to denying African-Americans (and in some regions, Latinos) the right to vote.”

  • gilligan says:

So let’s see: 15 illegal aliens = $180,000 for Larrdo the Coyote. He’s got his ‘family” stuffed into one room. Overhead: under $100, plus the cheap food from Dennys. This leaves a clear profit for Larrdo of $179,900, give or take a bit.

And this is in March, 2007. The following winter, he shows up in Duluth–after a cross-country journey–on SSI, leeching off US taxpayers. And there is no doubt in my mind he was on SSI when he was living in Texas.

The absolutely hilarious part of his whole false police report/extortion demand is that he’s complaining about Allied Car Service being run by criminals, he, the thrice-convicted felon (and who knows how many misdemeanors), with an active felony warrant out of Pueblo, Colorado.

    Such an asshole.

He tries to terrorize Demo by implying a threat to torch her house. COP calls him for a conversation and he never mentions her again.

He tries to intimidate Lynn deBoth and illegally tapes a Deputy Sheriff and puts the tape on the internet. Sheriff has a talk with local LE about the douchebag, so he quickly abandons his vendetta against her.

He tries to terrorize the lovely First Lady and become a hero to the fringe anti-Obamists, because he thinks the White House will continue to ignore him as inconsequential. Surprise! The SS shows up and talks sternly to him…and he folds like an accordion.

… When asked if I would continue to send Faxes and make calls to the White House, I responded, “You can bank on it!”

Like the punk bitch he is, he woofs on the internet but “ceases and desists” from harassing the White House. Send another fax, pelo de caca, we’re waiting. Published February 5, 2010

It has been determined that the U.S. Department of Justice office that has been monitoring this web site is in fact the Chicago Office. Every single IP address from the DOJ is located in the Chicago, Illinois office. Calls to the Chicago DOJ Office requesting information as to who was monitoring this cite were met with claims “..we could not even begin to know what division of the DOJ is monitoring your site.”

In addition to the Chicago Office of the Department of Justice monitoring this site so are members of the U.S. House as noted in the IP tracking below.

But this is what he wants. He said he wanted a public forum to air whateveer bullshit he wants, and he told Rense that if he went to trial, he’d call Obama (and he seemed to be looking forward to that), so what’s his bitch? He’s getting what he wants.

And the DoJ is free to visit his website–or is he going to call and order them not to? Perhaps he did–we know he records all calls, so I wonder why he hasn’t posted the audio? Hmmmm, the call didn’t happen. He just wants to think he’s in control of the situation. he’s not.

    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

    1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.

    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

But I’m sure Tancredo et al want this one repealed:

Amendment 13 - Slavery Abolished. Ratified 12/6/1865. History

    1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

  • gilligan says:

    m.i.,

RuhRoh did a good job of cutting through the bullshit, above:

    Here’s my very brief take:

Section 1 looks like the hotel was set up for a scam and what he really wants is cash to go away.
Section 2 & 3 are just smoke so section #1 doesn’t look so obvious.

As for his beef of “slanderous” stuff going on accusing some people of being criminals, we checked those original names (replaced in the post) and they were ex-cons with significant past convictions and jail time - with at least one and probably two of them back in jail. So much for his slander nonsense.

Joeymac, of course FatBoy or puto and pelo de caca (LOL) would know about this in HOTEL management because he certainly had lots, and lots of hotel work experience as in the resume he posted on his
    * VOTE-4-IDIOT* site- that for some reason went *POOF*

These jobs were prior to 2007, by the way, as he writes in the “rag”. (excerpt)

I was eventually paroled in 1982 shortly before my twenty-first birthday. My first Arizona driver’s license was issued under my legal name, La-Rye Ashaiti Silvas. I had written to Marriott Hotel’s Camelback Inn in Scottsdale Arizona seeking employment, and upon my release I obtained employment with the Camelback Inn.

Also.. Hmm he became disabled in 2001 according to what he posted below, gee I wonder if SSA knew he had $100-$300 to give-away as in tips while he was collecting disability in 2007? Interesting, no?
On his *Vote4Idiot*site he says ” as of last Sunday all of this info went *POOF*.

I am disabled and have been since a series of work accidents from October 2000 through August 2, 2001 . Prior to my becoming disabled I held employment with Marriott, Hilton and Westin Hotels; Ft. Lauderdale’s Famous Pier 66 Hotel; Tony Roma’s (both Franchise & Corporate units); Sky Chef; South Miami Beaches Rooney’s Pub; Denny’s; operated my own catering business briefly in Lakewood Colorado; as well as a Truck Driver for a Fresno California company before moving to Sacramento, CA for a job driving Bobtails for B&G Delivery Systems, Inc.

and this too, in *BOLD* has gone *POOF* wonder why?

Unlike Rep. Suzanne Kosmas (who has a net worth of $10+ Mil dollars), I have to struggle to make ends meet on less than $700.00 per month. That was $457.00 per month when I first became disabled living in the most expensive state in the nation at the time, California

Deputies break up Palm Coast meth lab

    By JULIE MURPHY
    STAFF WRITER

Flagler County sheriff’s deputies shut down a meth lab on the south side of Palm Coast this afternoon and arrested four residents, officials said.

Tina Hinson, 40; Antonio Gasparini, 37; Brian Steen, 25; and Necole Lane, 33 — who live at 4 Zebulon Trail, where the lab was found — were all charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, sheriff’s spokeswoman Debra Johnson said.

Narcotics detectives investigated activities at the home for more than two weeks after receiving a tip a meth lab was in operation there, Johnson said. Neighbors also reported heavy traffic to and from the home off of Belle Terre Boulevard, south of State Road 100.

Two children, ages 8 and 4, were taken into custody by the Department of Children & Families.

All four suspects were transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility, Johnson said. Additional charges are pending.

Southeast Volusia drug sting nets 16 arrests

    By JULIE MURPHY
    Staff Writer

A New Smyrna Beach-area drug sting netted 16 suspects Thursday and took more than a dozen accused cocaine dealers off the streets, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Undercover officers and confidential informants collected evidence over the past six months through more than 50 cocaine, marijuana and prescription drug purchases from street dealers, sheriff’s spokesman Gary Davidson said. Narcotics investigators are still searching for another 20 suspects named in the investigation.

These types of stings by the Volusia County Narcotics Task Force and Sheriff’s Office are conducted on a “periodic and ongoing basis,” Davidson said.

Armed with a search warrant, narcotics agents — with the assistance of SWAT units from both the Sheriff’s Office and the New Smyrna Beach Police Department — raided a home on Palm Street in New Smyrna Beach and seized cocaine, marijuana and firearms.

Raymond Curry Jr., 43, was charged with the manufacture of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Others were arrested all over the area, officials said.

Those charged with sale of cocaine are: Xcenia Arch, 51, and Gerald Wells, 46, both of Edgewater; and New Smyrna Beach residents Brian Bond, 41; Terry Brown, 43; Patrick Edwards, 30; Thomas McDonald Jr., 22; Marlon Mitchell, 30; Patrick Morgan, 30; Toney Morris, 52; Major Richardson Jr., 32; Leeann Staley, 24; and Terilyn St. Rose, 39.

John Boivin, 46, Edgewater, was charged with sale and delivery of narcotics. Patrick Edwards, 30; Patrick Gayle, 54, both of New Smyrna Beach; and Wayne Lachance Jr., 43, Edgewater, were charged with sale and delivery of a controlled substance.

Orly Taitz has been threatening to run for public office. This week she visited 1700 East Garry Street to find out the requirements for running for California Secretary of State or Attorney General. Thinking it was the office of the California Secretary of State or the Orange County Registrar of Voters, perhaps, she visited the Elections Committee of the County of Orange.

I decided to check out possibility of running and called Orange County elections office. nobody answered. I left two messages, nobody called back. I drove to the office at the 1700 E Garry Str, ste 231, Santa Ana CA. The office is locked, no schedule of working hours.

I wonder: if one wants to run for office, how does one register, picks up forms, how does one communicate?

The person in charge of elections is Democrat Debra Bowen, whom I sued twice for not checking the credentials of the candidates, specifically Obama’s credentials.

I am very busy, can one of my supporters reach her office and let her know, that I am considering running and would like to get necessary forms, but the elections office is locked and nobody answers the phone and nobody returns phone calls.

OC Weekly, her hometown newspaper, laughs and laughs:

    This is hilarious. Why?

Well, there’s no government office at 1700 E. Garry Street in Santa Ana. What’s there, though, is the Elections Committee of the County of Orange. Otherwise known as ECCO. Otherwise known as one of the oldest LGBT political advocacy groups in Orange County.

Dr. Taitz is many things–dentist, lawyer, mother, activist, karate master–but there is one thing she is not: a gay-rights activist.

    Joeymac,

Since the Secret Service bitchslapped Larry, he’s resumed his obsessive affair with his statcounter.

    It’s a sad, doomed relationship.

See, although Larry LOVES his statcounter, he’s never been able to understand it. He misinterprets what it says to him regularly. He misuses what it tells him all the time to try to identify those who disagree with him. He’s never understood the language of the statcounter, yet he continues to worship it, no matter how many times it’s led him to embarrass himself.

It’s an abusive relationship. But it’s the only lover who will keep taking him back.

  • joeymac says:

    RuhRoh

He is trying one diversionary tactic after another to get off the subject of WH harassment. He had hoped that by stalking and threatening Kstreet he would distract everyone from all woof tickets he sold.

I then informed the agents that if the White House wanted the faxes to stop all they had to do was answer the questions publicly, but until that happened I would continue to submit them.

Where’s the fax, Larry? Where are the harassing phone calls? You haven’t posted any new ones…did your questions get answered? Coño.

Birther Speaker Takes Heat at Tea Party Convention

NASHVILLE — During WorldNetDaily Editor-in-Chief Joseph Farah’s Friday night dinner speech, which spent around 10 of its forty minutes on questions about Barack Obama’s citizenship, Andrew Brietbart was among the conservatives in back of the room grumbling audibly about what he was hearing.

After he introduced the evening’s closing entertainment — a film titled “Generation Zero” — Breitbart walked outside to the convention hall. There, I heard Breitbart criticizing Farah, and briefly talked to him about it before I noticed that WorldNetDaily’s Chelsea Schilling was already talking to him, holding up a voice recorder. I backed up to allow her to continue her interview, which consisted of questions on why Breitbart didn’t think Obama’s citizenship was a legitimate issue.

“It’s self-indulgent, it’s narcissistic, it’s a losing issue,” Breitbart told Schilling. “It’s a losing situation. If you don’t have the frigging evidence — raising the question? You can do that to Republicans all day long. You have to disprove that you’re a racist! Forcing them to disprove something is a nightmare.”

Man wielding realistic-looking BB gun shot twice by cops in Bushwick showdown

Nicastro for NewsPolice at the scene of a police-involved shooting on Linden Street at Myrtle Avenue.

A 61-year-old man wielding a realistic-looking BB gun was shot twice by cops early Saturday after a tense confrontation on a busy Brooklyn street, police and witnesses said. early Saturday after a tense confrontation on a busy Brooklyn street, police and witnesses said.

The gunman was hit in the left side of his torso and thigh and was listed in stable condition at Elmhurst General Hospital, police said.

The showdown, which sent several pedestrians scurrying for cover, erupted shortly after a witness called 911 at 1:50 a.m. to report that a man was walking down Linden St. in Bushwick carrying a gun, police said.

A marked police van roared to the scene and three uniformed cops hopped out at the corner of Wyckoff Ave., witnesses said.

“They pulled out their guns straight away,” said witness Bryan Cisneros, 18. “I heard them shouting.”

Witnesses told investigators that the three cops took cover behind cars parked along Linden St. and shouted for the man to drop his gun, police said.

The man refused, instead whirling at the cops and pointing his weapon - which had a brown handle and a black barrel - at the officers, police said. “Then I heard the shots,” said Cisneros.

“I just ran. I’d never heard gunshots like that before.”

The gunman, whose name was not released, collapsed in the street and dropped his BB-gun.

    The cops were not hurt.

“I was sleeping [but] I woke up when I heard like two or three shots,” said neighbor Miguel Matias, 25.

“I see the whole block full of cops and somebody in an ambulance.” Investigators believe that one officer fired twice, with both bullets hitting the suspect.

Police sources said it appeared the cops, who are all assigned to the 83rd Precinct, behaved appropriately because the suspect was holding what appeared to be a real weapon.

Detectives returned to the scene after sunrise to confiscate surveillance footage from several nearby businesses, including a White Castle.

Charges against the suspect are pending, police said.

But I don’t think purple is Larrdo’s best color. However, I don’t think he has any best color unless “puke” is a color.

Man I LOVE this song. This was a HUGE Club hit back in the day !!!

This was the last song that John Lennon performed on before he died….

Yoko Ono - Walking On Thin Ice
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft7-xEiwvJw&feature=related

Walking on Thin Ice Single by Yoko Ono

“Walking on Thin Ice” is a New Wave/dance song by Yoko Ono, released in 1981. She and John Lennon concluded the recording of the song on December 8, 1980. It was upon their return from the recording studio to The Dakota (their home in New York City) that Lennon was murdered by Mark David Chapman. Lennon had stayed up all night the preceding weekend listening to a preliminary mix of the song, and died clutching a final mix of it in his hands. Lennon’s lead guitar work on the track, which he had recorded that day, and praised by many as the most fascinating of his career, was thus his final creative act. At the end of January 1981, “Walking on Thin Ice” was released as a single and became Ono’s first chart success, peaking at number 58 in the US and gaining major underground airplay. The single was released in February 1981 in the UK and reached number 35 on the chart.

The lyrics talk of the unpredictability of life and death — of “throwing the dice in the air” — and reach the conclusion, “when our hearts return to ashes, it will be just a story….”. With the world in shock, a new poignancy was added to the already haunting yet highly danceable track.

    Orly Taitz in Nashville

By David Weigel 2/6/10 3:28 PM NASHVILLE — The woman dubbed by the Orange County Register as “queen of the birthers” arrived at the National Tea Party Convention today and did what she always does: hustle around talking to reporters and trying to get media coverage. Pictured below: Taitz talking to Lydia DePillis of The New Republic.

Orly Taitz in Nashville (Photo by David Weigel)

Taitz has a sort of media blackout policy on me — she has refused to talk since I posted a photo essay of the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot that featured, among other things, photos of her and of Third Reich memorabilia. Worse things can happen to journalists than being dissed by Orly Taitz — it saves a lot of time, and a lot of indulging a person who relentlessly brings up defunct or debunked legal arguments. But Taitz — who was recognized by quite a few people who stopped to shake her hand — did talk to other reporters, while hitting some speed bumps with others. For several minutes, she tried to make her case to Carl Cameron of Fox News, to no avail. As I spoke to John Avlon of The Daily Beast, Taitz ran over and asked Avlon when his book “Wingnuts” will be coming out and whether she could get a copy. (She’s profiled in the book.)

Wingnuts: How the Lunatic Fringe is Hijacking America
    http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Wingnuts/John-Avlon/e/9780984295111/

    Synopsis
A bad craziness is snaking through America in the first years of the Obama administration: THE WINGNUTS ARE ON THE ATTACK!

    What’s a wingnut?
A wingnut is someone on the far-right or far-left wing of the political spectrum - professional partisans, unhinged activists, and paranoid conspiracy theorists. Barack Obama campaigned as an antidote to the politics of polarization, promising to transcend the old divides of left and right, black and white, red states and blue. But in the first year of his presidency, he is presiding over an eruption of hate and hyper-partisanship that threatens to mock the promise upon which he was elected.

Wingnuts is a reported exploration of the outer reaches of American politics, told from the perspectives of a radical centrist who believes that the far right and the far left are equally insane. On the way, we’ll meet the “Queen of the Birther,” Orly Taitz, and the Orange County pastor who is openly praying for Obama’s death. We’ll get a look into the life of Obama senate opponent Alan Keyes and the draft-Palin movement, as well as the liberal anti-war Obama protestor Cindy Sheehan and her allies in Code Pink. Wingnuts will look at people trying to bridge the political divide, like the Afghan war vet who founded Republicans for Obama.

    Biography
John Avlon is senior political columnist for The Daily Beast. He served as chief speechwriter for New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and is the author of Independent Nation: How Centrists Can Change American Politics. He lives in New York City.

LMK, that claim of writing a second book used to be on the Sinclair Publishing site as well. It might still be there-I haven’t checked recently.

He’s never said what this book was, although I think he mentioned on Jeff Rense once that he was going to need to write a second book because so much was happening to him while he was finishing the first book.

And at one point he had also promised that the paperback edition of his pamphlet was going to contain a new chapter. When it came time to release the paperback, he had stopped making that claim.

With all this talk of writing new books, appending old ones and publishing the works of others, it’s really a wonder that the SSI thought he was working, isn’t it? Where would they ever get that idea?

    Anger fuels rush of candidates

    By RON HURTIBISE
    Staff Writer

Voters are angry. And the most audacious among them are deciding they can help fix the country.

The number of first-time candidates running for Congress in Florida is larger than in any election year in recent memory, says Susan MacManus, political science professor at the University of South Florida.

“For the first time in a long time in Florida, fear and anger — the two compelling emotions in politics — are existing simultaneously,” MacManus says.

Candidates say they are motivated by high unemployment, increased deficit spending, and frustration over the results — or lack thereof — of a year of Democratic control of national government.

The anti-incumbency movement transcends party politics, MacManus says.

How much turnover will actually occur in November — especially in the majority of House seats carefully drawn to protect incumbents — remains to be seen, she said.

But the interest is real, and challengers say they are undaunted by the money and special interests that favor the entrenched.

In 1998, 14 of 23 House incumbents went unopposed in Florida. This year, 18 of 25 seats have more than one declared candidate.

That will likely change when elections supervisors certify candidates for the ballot, either by petition or registration fee, by May 7. Party primaries are Aug. 24, and the general election is Nov. 2.

The three districts that include Volusia and Flagler counties have so far attracted 23 candidates.

Among them is Jacob “Jake” Hoechst, 90, Orlando, a Republican trying to alert voters about a little-known energy refining process that converts carbon material into a diesel fuel that contains neither sulfur nor tar.

“I have the gumption. I have the passion to get the message out,” he says.

Stephen Bacon, 71, of DeBary, is one of two Florida Whig Party members in the local races.

The party, which formed in 2007, wants to give “people a voice in government again,” he says.

“People don’t feel they’re getting representation from either the Republican or Democratic parties,” he says. “They’re too sold out already to special interests and business interests.”

Thirteen challengers are vying for the seat held by Suzanne Kosmas, D-New Smyrna Beach, including 10 Republicans.

National analysts view Kosmas’ seat as one of the two “toss-ups” in Florida. The other is the seat held by Democrat Alan Grayson, who earned fame last year by summing up Republicans’ health care plan as “don’t get sick. And if you do get sick, die quickly.”

Kosmas, 65, snatched a formerly safe Republican seat in 2008 by riding Barack Obama’s coattails and hammering at the incumbent’s connection to a scandal-ridden lobbyist but angered Democratic supporters in November by voting against the House health care reform bill and drew a primary challenger, former Winter Springs Mayor Paul Partyka.

And with the year already seen as dicey for incumbents, Republican candidates believe conservative voters are poised to retake the seat.

Jim Heinzelman — he prefers to be called Heinie — calls himself a true conservative and vows to end America’s path to socialism and other forms of tyranny.

Although the national party spread word last week that former Ruth’s Chris Steak House CEO Craig Miller will soon jump into the race, frontrunners among the announced candidates are Sandy Adams, a state House member since 2002, and Karen Diebel, vice mayor of Winter Park.

Their votes to help fund the new commuter rail system will cost them support of Tea Party movement activists, who will never vote “to put a RINO (Republican in Name Only) in office,” declares candidate Ed Dedelow, 67, a retired accountant, tax expert and general contractor from Winter Springs.

Dedelow, who wrote a book called “Why Capitalism Works and Government Doesn’t,” says he knows how to rein in out-of-control government spending.

The field also includes Green Party member Nicholas Ruiz III, 39, of New Smyrna Beach and Larry Sinclair, 48, of Port Orange, who has no party affiliation.

In a brief interview, Kosmas said she understands the frustration in her district but countered that she has served constituents with “financially responsible” decisions that expanded health coverage for children and veterans, and stabilized the economy with tax cuts and stimulus spending. “What I do and how I do it will be judged at the end of the day by the voters,” she said.

In the 3rd District, eight-term Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Jacksonville, has five challengers: three Republicans, a no-party candidate and a Florida Whig.

Republican James Gilman, 44, of Jacksonville, accuses Brown of devoting too much attention to aviation and railroad interests while her district suffers from high rates of poverty, unemployment and crime.

In a questionnaire submitted by her campaign staff, Brown, 63, lists her occupation as “member of Congress” and said her priorities if re-elected are passing the newest six-year federal transportation authorization bill and ensuring Florida receives its full share of high-speed rail funding.

Eight-term 7th District Rep. John Mica, R-Winter Park usually defeats his Democrat challenger easily in the heavily Republican district that snakes through six counties.

This year he faces newcomer Heather Beaven, a Palm Coast resident and CEO of a state-funded work force development agency for at-risk students. Beaven, 41, says Mica provides “20th century leadership” and vows to help develop 21st-century “green” jobs in the bio-medical and alternative energy fields.

Asked about his opponent, Mica, 67, says he doesn’t think about the campaign until the fall. Meanwhile, he plans to continue securing federal funding for ongoing projects throughout his district, such as the commuter rail system, Rose Bay restoration, and repair of the flood-damaged Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences.

    DISTRICT 24

    Adams
    SANDY ADAMS

    Age: 53

    Lives in: Orlando

    Occupation: Law enforcement

    Party: Republican

Elected offices held: Florida House of Representatives, 2002-present

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: We must facilitate the creation of new jobs and immediately stop the outrageous spending. With the national debt over $100,000 per household and unemployment at its highest level in the last quarter-century, fiscal discipline is needed in Washington. Congress must stop its constant taxing, borrowing, spending behavior pattern. American families need relief now. I will fight to halt spending and ignite the economy, foster small business, and get American workers employed again.

    Campbell
    SEAN FIELD CAMPBELL

    Age: N/A

    Lives in: Merritt Island

    Occupation: Semiretired small business owner

    Party: Republican

Elected offices held: Republican Committeeman, Brevard County Precinct 15

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: My main concern is job creation. I would propose this by first giving small business owners a tax incentive to hire employees. This can be accomplished by giving a credit on payroll taxes that the employer has to pay; thus allowing more money for salaries and reinvestment in updating equipment for the business. This would increase sales for new equipment and allow more employees to be hired. I would introduce a bill requiring Homeland Security to revamp and speed up employee verifications and hold the employer harmless from fines and legal actions related to illegal immigrants. Saving American jobs is number one.

    Age: 67

    Lives in: Winter Springs

Occupation: Certified public accountant, tax expert and general contractor (retired)

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: none

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: I will be a conservative leader in Congress. My goal is to educate other members of Congress and the public on what is necessary to improve the management of the economy by the federal government. I will work to reduce waste, to cut taxes and government spending and to promote tax laws and regulations that will allow the U.S. economy to be competitive in the world market. Thus, eliminating the trade and fiscal deficits and increasing the wages of the American work force.

    Lives in: Winter Park

Occupation: Executive director, Verizon Business Global Solutions, Orlando

    Party: Republican

Elected offices held: Winter Park City Commission, 2007-present. Currently vice mayor.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: To get some very solid job growth here in the district. At Verizon’s business unit, we put new tools in employees’ hands so they can innovate and return more productivity to the company. I want to help create jobs, including highly technical jobs, that match the needs of our district. I am very effective in taking a business acumen to government.

    JIM FOSTER

    Age: 67

    Lives in: Oviedo

    Occupation: Retired small business owner

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: none

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: If people are out of work not much else really matters. Unemployment in this district is over 11 percent. That is unacceptable to me. You would think it would be unacceptable to the career politicians who currently IGNORE the biggest unemployment rate in modern history. I will organize a team of private industry leaders and elected officials who will focus on putting the people of my district back to work. Government MUST get busy clearing a path (with tax incentives) so that small businesses and private industry can thrive. As a successful and experienced small business owner I know how to create jobs. What is the key thing I want to accomplish? I want everyone in my district to be able to feed their families and pay their mortgage. If our present elected officials can’t help make that happen — we need new elected officials!

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: Put an end to America being led down the path of Socialism, or other forms of tyranny — Let Freedom Ring! Repeal the irresponsible bills passed by the 111th Congress. Reduce deficit & spending. Balance the budget. Lower taxes. Smaller government. Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Help elect a true conservative President in 2012 (another Ronald Reagan). Faithfully serve the constituents of District 24, for whom I serve and report to. So help me God!

    Party: Democratic

Elected offices held: State House of Representatives, 1996-2004; U.S. House of Representatives, 2009-present

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: As a Volusia County resident for more than 30 years, I have spent most of my adult life serving our community, and I view my job as U.S. Representative as an extension of that service. Though I am proud of our efforts so far to create and maintain jobs, promote fiscal responsibility, support small businesses, and improve veterans benefits, I understand there is more to be done. I will continue working to bring people together to find common-sense, fiscally responsible solutions that will create jobs, boost our economy, improve education, and ensure a bright future for generations to come.

    Age: 42

    Lives in: Apopka

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: None

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: The key thing I want to accomplish if elected is devolving power from the national government back to the states and the people. We will do this by adopting a Fair Tax, returning to fiscal responsibility and the gold standard, and passing a balanced budget amendment. I also support the implementation of a free trade regime and repealing Sarbanes-Oxley.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: The focus must be on small business and new job creation. Small business is the lifeblood of the American economy and it has been overlooked so far in the effort to rebuild the U.S. economy. The people are hurting right now. I want to be part of a Congress that works together to solve our problems. We need to substantially increase the pace of that recovery and that’s what I intend to fight for! Small business tax relief, tax incentives to spur small business job creation, expansion of small business incubation, space program technology utilization, and more small business lending are the most important policies the Congress can pursue NOW. Jobs growth combined with having practical and efficient health insurance for all should be a solvable goal when both parties work together TODAY!

Occupation: Vice president, Bank of America

Elected offices held: President of Howell Harbor Estates Homeowner Association for 8 years

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: I believe that we need candidates in Congress that are capable of thinking outside of the box when seeking solutions for the problems that are facing this country. We must practice fiscal responsibility, create financial support programs for small business in order to create new jobs, create high-tech long-lasting job programs that use our young workers as well as experienced and older work force. My experience will fill that need.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: If you wish for the idea of progress that has disappeared, or the prospect of prosperity that has disappeared, or the idea of politics that has disappeared — and instead all of which continue, as a Washington political game in secret indifference to what is truly at stake for the American people in all of these concepts . . . Now is the time to act on your conscience, and support leaders and candidates who offer truly progressive politics for America.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: I will fight to have our voices — not just those of railroad executives — heard in Washington. U.S. Congressional District 3 stands out from the surrounding districts because it has some of the highest poverty, unemployment and crime rates in the nation. While railroads and aviation (committees that the incumbent serves on) are important to our nation, District 3 needs representation that will fight to ensure Washington gives a hand up not token handouts by focusing efforts on early childhood development and lifelong learning.

This system, incorporated into our economy, could produce over 4 billion barrels of oil per year from waste. That would save our economy 700 billion dollars a year, and using Congressional Budget Office estimates, would save the country $7 trillion every 10 years. America has been and continues to be the beacon of freedom and liberty for not only this country, but for the world. I will make certain that I write and back only those laws that promote the protection of our Constitution, economic growth, and natural freedoms. If there are those who attempt to operate outside the powers given by the Constitution I will work to stop them. I will do this because that is the oath I will take when I am elected. I will work to keep obstacles out of the way of business growth and job creation, and to increase the flow of prosperity to the citizens in District 3 as well as the rest of Florida. In short, my objective is to represent growth and opportunity for middle north Florida as I stand in defense of their inherent freedoms. I will take the voice of District 3 to D.C.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: Create jobs and improve economy; reform tariffs to China to stop loss of U.S. jobs; put money in pockets of citizens with new economies for insurance, fuel costs and tax breaks; keep manufacturing for government contracts in U.S.; reduce subsidies to ethanol and oil industries; make Congress more fiscally responsible, outlaw bribery practices for bill passing; limit elected office terms to two; make America oil independent; bring government back to the people.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: I want to transform the 7th District from a string of small communities totally dependent on growth, service and tourism into a hub for successful small businesses and entrepreneurs. It is time to end the days of applying 20th century solutions to 21st century problems so we can create jobs now, while leaving our children with the groundwork for economic security and jobs for the future.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: Improving economic opportunity by supporting measures that will foster jobs and to reduce our federal debt, reduce taxes and cut unnecessary federal bureaucracy. Making certain Americans are secure must be a primary national responsibility, achieved by insuring a strong, prepared military and supporting veterans who have served our nation.

    Dedelow
    EDWARD W. DEDELOW

    KAREN DIEBEL

    Age: 42

    Lives in: Winter Park

Occupation: Executive director, Verizon Business Global Solutions, Orlando

    Party: Republican

Elected offices held: Winter Park City Commission, 2007-present. Currently vice mayor.

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: To get some very solid job growth here in the district. At Verizon’s business unit, we put new tools in employees’ hands so they can innovate and return more productivity to the company. I want to help create jobs, including highly technical jobs, that match the needs of our district. I am very effective in taking a business acumen to government.

    Foster
    JIM FOSTER

    TOM GARCIA

    Age: 48

    Lives in: Titusville

    Occupation: Airline pilot

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: none

Key things I want to accomplish if elected: Reduce government spending and prevent terrorists from striking the U.S. The Constitution is a road map for success and we must return to governing from it and not around it.

    JIM “HEINIE” HEINZELMAN

    Age: 71

    Lives in: Orlando

    Occupation: Retired small business owner

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: none

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: Put an end to America being led down the path of Socialism, or other forms of tyranny — Let Freedom Ring! Repeal the irresponsible bills passed by the 111th Congress. Reduce deficit & spending. Balance the budget. Lower taxes. Smaller government. Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Help elect a true conservative President in 2012 (another Ronald Reagan). Faithfully serve the constituents of District 24, for whom I serve and report to. So help me God!

    Occupation: Member of Congress

    Long
    OMETRIAS DEON LONG

    Age: 42

    Lives in: Apopka

    Occupation: Attorney

    Party: Republican

    Elected offices held: None

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: The key thing I want to accomplish if elected is devolving power from the national government back to the states and the people. We will do this by adopting a Fair Tax, returning to fiscal responsibility and the gold standard, and passing a balanced budget amendment. I also support the implementation of a free trade regime and repealing Sarbanes-Oxley.

    Web site: deonlong.com

    Partyka
    PAUL PARTYKA

    Age: 60

    Lives in: Winter Springs

    Occupation: Commercial real estate broker

    Party: Democrat

Elected offices held: Winter Springs mayor, 1996-2002; Winter Springs deputy mayor, 1990, Winter Springs commissioner, 1988-1991; State committeeman, Seminole County Democratic Executive Committee, 2004-2007

    Age: 56

    Lives in: Casselberry

Occupation: Vice president, Bank of America

    Party: Republican

Elected offices held: President of Howell Harbor Estates Homeowner Association for 8 years

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: I believe that we need candidates in Congress that are capable of thinking outside of the box when seeking solutions for the problems that are facing this country. We must practice fiscal responsibility, create financial support programs for small business in order to create new jobs, create high-tech long-lasting job programs that use our young workers as well as experienced and older work force. My experience will fill that need.

    Occupation: Author

    Party: Green

    Elected offices held: none

Key thing I want to accomplish if elected: If you wish for the idea of progress that has disappeared, or the prospect of prosperity that has disappeared, or the idea of politics that has disappeared — and instead all of which continue, as a Washington political game in secret indifference to what is truly at stake for the American people in all of these concepts . . . Now is the time to act on your conscience, and support leaders and candidates who offer truly progressive politics for America.

Also, if you haven’t heard, Leo Donofrio’s and Steve Pidgeon’s petition for a re-hearing in the Chrysler bankruptcy was denied yesterday by Judge Gonzales.

I’ll be back for the Super Bowl. I didn’t know who to cheer for because my team was out of it early, but then I read that the Saints QB coach is the grandson of my beloved Vince Lombardi, so I have my team. Even if I think the Colts will win by 6.

Are you sure you are 39, maybe you should post your BC

South Carolina only supplies the short form now; what more, they don’t have seals. So, I’m not sure it will be acceptable.

But, seriously, I had to obtain a BC in 1964 to get a passport and it had all sort of superfluous information like Midwife’s name, etc. When I ordered a replacement a couple of years ago for SS, it was nearly a duplicate of Obama’s COLB information wise.

So, it’s hard to fathom why some dopes insist that it’s not a legitimate BC and you can’t get a passport with it. What’s even more startling is that a few idjits accept them as credible. It is as Obama stated during the campaign: “They take pride in being ignorant.”

See this post as an example

  • Meesheemey says:

I can no longer see joeymac’s comment, is it just me?

  • joeymac says:

    Oh, the hypocrisy.
    Palin on FauxNew today.

WALLACE: White House Chief of Staff — you mention him — Rahm Emanuel. You called him out. He used the “R” word. He said, “retarded.” He has now apologized for using that word, met with activists, said he’s going to join the campaign to try to eliminate use of that word –

PALIN: Oh, you know, Rahm Emanuel, I think he had some indecent and insensitive ways of being, including his language. And as I said for a variety go reasons, giving the President poor advice and his heavy handedness. I think he should step down.

I’m not politically correct. I am not one to be a word police. But I do believe that his insensitivity, in a time when I had just promised in my GOP convention speech that those with special needs and families and those who love those with special needs would have a friend, and a advocate in the White House if John McCain and I were so blessed as to be elected.

That didn’t stop me because our votes didn’t carry the day, we didn’t win. That didn’t stop my passion, my commitment to reaching out and to helping the special needs community when they asked for it. And they did ask for it on this one. They reached out to me and said, can you kind of highlight the problem that we have the White House, with both the President and his Chief of Staff being so insensitive to the special needs community. And I said, I’m here. Send me. I will do so.

WALLACE: OK. But Rush Limbaugh weighed in this week. And he said this:

“Our politically correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards.”

PALIN: He was satirical (ph) in that –

WALLACE: Wait a minute, let me finish.

    PALIN: OK.

WALLACE: “I mean, these people, these liberal activists are quote, kooks.” Should Rush Limbaugh apologize?

PALIN: They are kooks, so I agree with Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh was using satire to bring attention to what this politically correct –

WALLACE: But he used the “R” word.

PALIN: Using satire. Name calling by anyone — I teach this to my children, you teach it to your children and your grandchildren, too. Name calling by anyone, it’s just unnecessary. It just wastes time.
Let’s speak to the issues and –

WALLACE: But you know what some people are going to say, Governor, and have said. They say, look, when it’s her political adversary Rahm Emanuel, she’s going to call him out, he’s indecent, apologize. But when it’s a political friend like Rush Limbaugh, oh it’s satire

PALIN: I didn’t hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with “F-ing retards.” And we did know that Rahm Emanuel, it’s been reported, did say that. That’s a big difference there.

But again, name calling, using language that is insensitive by anyone — male, female, Republican, Democrat, it’s unnecessary, it’s inappropriate and let’s all just grow up.

Here is what I just wrote in the comment section at the FL newspaper website:

“Sinclair needs to, and is being watched. He was visited by the US Secret Service about a week ago because of faxes he sent to the WH, threatening both Michelle and President Obama. The Secret Service watched Sinclair the entire time Obama was in FL for his State of the Union address; the SS camped in front of his home. They also did a 3 hour threat assessment interview with Larry. Larry admits that he is under criminal investigation for fraud against Social Security. He owes tens of thousands of dollars to Social Security and the IRS.

Larry admits to all of the above (except he only states that he owes money to the IRS and not Social Security) and posts information about all of this on his blog and/or youtube. Larry’s youtube channel (Larrysinclair1961) will give you lots of info about him, all in his own words. You can hear Larry’s phone call to Madelyn Dunham (Obama’s grandmother) which he made days before her death. He was unable to speak to her and spoke to Obama’s sister instead. He was calling Madelyn to ask her about Obama’s birth (yes, he is a birther).

If you do a search for “Larry Sinclair press conference” on youtube, you can see the press conference that Larry paid for with donations, where he explicitly lies about interactions with Obama that can’t be true. After repeated challenges about the claims he made, Larry was offered $10,000 to take a polygraph regarding his claims about him and Obama. If he passed the polygraph, he was to receive $100,000. Larry failed the polygraph and was found to be deceptive whenever he answered a question about each claim he made about Obama. (I won’t list the incidents that Larry claims to have shared with Obama as they are explicit.)

On youtube you can also find audio tapes (posted by Larry) of calls Larry made trying to “investigate” the “truth” about Madelyn Dunham’s death. Very disturbing. On Larry’s website (www.larrysinclair.com) you can listen to a phone call that Larry recorded when he was speaking with the Secret Service, as well as calls to Michelle Obama’s office and Rahm Emmanuel’s office. The man records every call he makes to government organizations (illegally I might add. In FL, you must have permission from the 2nd party to record a phone call. Larry never asks for permission.).

Donate to Larry at your own risk. He has a habit of promising to do something and then running with the money donated to him.

Finally, Larry claims to be on Social Security Disability, but he is not. He was in Social Security Supplemental Income, which is not based on disability. He posts a letter from SSI on his website, which verifies this. As mentioned before, he has just been busted and is under criminal investigation for Social Security and Medicaid fraud.

Larry claims to be so disabled that he needs assistance with daily activities. If he is so disabled as to need federal and state assistance, why is he running for Congress? He repeatedly claims that he is too sick to work, but is running for Congress???

Everything I have written about is on Larry’s personal blog or on his youtube channel. All of this is from Larry himself and can easily be found on his website or his youtube channel.”

Joeymac, thanks for the youtube showing Palin with her crib notes. That is hilarious!

Everyone can see a youtube of Palin looking at her hand and reading her crib notes during a Q & A session after her speech. It is hilarious! She doesn’t just glance at her hand, she is full on looking and reading her hand! And the question she is answering is an easy question!

I’d advise voters looking for a better understanding of Larry Sinclair to go to his blog site, larrysinclair dot com, to see that he is not only a repeat felon but also claims to be currently under investigation by several federal agencies. He’s also made quite a habit of making inappropriate phone calls and sending threatening faxes to the White House, including one containing pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Obama that he had used for target practice with some sort of gun. This attracted the attention of the Secret Service, naturally. While Mr. Sinclair claims to be an author, he is simultaneously outraged at losing his SSI income because he was working. So which is it? Is he working as an author, or is he in need of the government teat because he is disabled? The people of FL 24 should be able to see right through this ‘candidate’. It appears that his primary motivation for starting a campaign website is to garner publicity for his failed, self-published book and his crazy claims and threats against the White House. Look for yourselves. It will become clear to you as well with about 30 seconds’ perusal of his blog site.

Kanne This “candidacy” is merely another scam from a lifetime scammer. The object is to allow his enablers/handlers to funnel him a pension without the IRS grabbing it first. Every dime will go towards the “candidate’s” expenses (i.e., everyday living costs). He won’t file a report to the FEC, and he will not waste money on the filing fees in order to get on the ballot. He is being supported by those who want to promote his smear campaign; even his “true believers” have moved on to Orly and the birther movement leaving only a remnant who devised the smear.

  • kato says:

Examples of Mr. Holder Kicking ass & taking names:
Attorney General Eric Holder: Rudy Giuliani is playing politics on 9/11 terror trial move

An unapologetic U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder blasted ex-Mayor Rudy Giuliani in a published report for turning his decision to try terrorists in civilian courts into a “partisan issue.”

Holder told the New Yorker that it was “exceedingly strange” to hear the one-time zealous prosecutor publicly express a lack of faith in the U.S. justice system.

“If Giuliani was still the U.S. Attorney in New York, my guess is that, by now, I would already have gotten 10 phone calls from him telling me why these cases needed to be tried not only in civilian court but at Foley Square,” Holder told the magazine.

Under protest from Mayor Bloomberg and Sen. Charles Schumer, Holder and the Obama Administration have backed away from trying 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in Manhattan federal court.

But Holder is not kowtowing to critics like Giuliani and former Vice President Cheney, who believe Mohammed and his Al Qaeda henchmen should be prosecuted by military tribunals.

“I don’t apologize for what I’ve done. History will show that the decisions we’ve made are the right ones,” Holder said.

“It’s distressing to me that on an issue that is truly a matter of life and death for this nation people will find a way to make that a partisan issue,” he said.

Amy Jeffress, Holder’s national security adviser, told the magazine that military files on terrorist suspects were so haphazardly kept it appeared the Bush Administration “hadn’t planned on prosecuting anyone.”

“You’d look at what the Department of Defense had, and it was something, but, as a prosecutor, it wasn’t what you’d like to see as evidence,” Jeffress said.

Holder bristled at Cheney for equating the decision to try terrorists in civilian courts to giving “aid and comfort to the enemy.”

“On some level, and I’m not sure why, he [Cheney] lacks confidence in the American system of justice,” Holder said.

  • democratista says:

    kato,

First, he’s going to demand that they take down that picture of him because he looks really fat (even though he probably sent it to them). Then he’s going to demand they write more than a half a sentence about him–and he’ll dictate it to them and they damn well had better print it word for word. And THEN he’ll stamp his fat feets and demand the IPs and emails of anyone who commented about him, except the ones he’s specifically authorized (like his failure of a blog).

I can hear sinclair now, demanding that the Daytona News Journal supply him with ip addresses & emails…..

AND then he’ll ask for a retraction !! (which does NOT apply to comments)

And he’ll also threaten to sue, of course.

  • badpoet says:

I am ecstatic over the Saints win. If the Packers couldn’t have it, I can’t think of a more deserving team.

Our family tries to get to New Orleans every few years. Katrina screwed up the tradition. We were last there in 2004. We are hoping to go this coming December.

We book a private sleeping room on Amtrak from Chicago to New Orleans. It’s so much more relaxing than dealing with Midway or O’Hare. The extra cost is worth it. You leave Chicago in the evening, wake up to gorgeous scenery in the South, and arrive in New Orleans mid- afternoon.

Here’s what I used to think was a useful travel tip. On the day of your departure from the hotel, separate your tip money from the rest of your cash. This way you don’t have to go fumbling around at the last minute, nor disappointing a hotel employee as you riffle past the twenties, tens, and fives.

On our last visit we had four large bags. I put two dollars in my shirt pocket for the doorman who would hail our cab. Eight singles were then placed in my pants pocket for the bellhop handling the luggage. My wife had agreed to pay for the short cab ride.

As expected, the doorman tooted for the taxi, and I confidently pulled his tip from my shirt pocket, which he accepted graciously. I then walked around to the trunk as the bellhop loaded the last of our large bags. I gave him his tip from my pants pocket.

As the cab pulled away from the hotel, my son turned around then asked me how much I tipped the bellhop. I told him eight dollars, two dollars per bag, then I asked him why he cared. Apparently that’s a lot of money for here, my son commented. I turned around and noticed the bellhop in the center of the narrow street still waving, a big grin on his face, and mouthing the words “Thank you, thank you” over and over again. Southern hospitality, I thought. Another thought I had I that did not share with my son was that maybe the tip wasn’t enough in the bellhop’s eyes, and he was being a sarcastic smart ass.

We arrived at the station half an hour before the train boarded. Apparently while I was busy separating my cash, I forgot to take my cigarettes from the hotel room. I walked over to the newstand and asked for a pack of Camel Lights. The clerk said something like, that’ll be four dollars. I pulled my cash out of my pocket, and pulled off four singles. My jaw then dropped as I stared at the four singles that were left in my hand.

The bellhop was not being sarcastic at all. Shame on me for thinking ill of others. He was just being grateful for his $180 tip!

We find a place to park in the French Quarter, head to Cafe dumonde, load up on beignets for breakfast, wander around, then to Central Grocery for a muffaletta for lunch (or a po boy from someplace else, depending on where we are when we get hungry again), do tourist stuff, go to the Garden District, then we’ll let our friends pick a place for us to eat dinner. We’re not fancy, and we all love seafood, so we’ll hit a place that locals go to. We love those little holes in the wall with marvelous food.

    Haraz N. Ghanbari/Associated Press

Representative John Murtha was first elected to Congress in 1974.Representative John P. Murtha, the longtime Democratic congressman from Pennsylvania, has died at age 77.

His aides released a statement saying that he died shortly after 1 p.m. today at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Mr. Murtha had been placed in intensive care last week after complications from gallbladder surgery, his staff said then.

Mr. Murtha, who had an extremely close relationship with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on defense.

A former Marine, Mr. Murtha, his office noted, was the first Vietnam War combat Veteran elected to Congress. Throughout his years, Mr. Murtha paid particular attention to defense spending and to the Pentagon and the military.

When he called for bringing the troops home from Iraq in 2005, after having voted for the war, his proposal stunned many in Congress and added a powerful voice to the growing forces demanding immediate drawdowns and or deadlines.

Just this past Saturday, Mr. Murtha became Pennsylvania’s longest serving Member of Congress.

    Story To Tell
    Josh Marshall | February 6, 2010, 1:07PM

Back on Tuesday, Reuters’ reporter Terri Cullen published a story entitled “Backdoor taxes to hit middle class,” which alleged a series of stealth middle classes tax increases proposed by the Obama White House.

The White House complained that the story contained numerous false claims. Reuters pulled the story after conceding it contained “significant errors of fact” and said a new corrected story would be forthcoming. Then they apparently concluded that the errors were so thoroughgoing that no corrected story would be published.

Now comes word from former Editor & Publisher editor Greg Mitchell that Cullen is now no longer working at Reuters, though the circumstances of her departure remain unclear.

Once I disable a Firefox addon called “no scripts”, I was able to view video’s

It was painstaking to find the resoulution, but after doing numerous searchs, I figured it out.

If you guys are having difficulty seeing videos in Firefox, take a look at your ADD-ONS, and see if their a program called “no scripts” running.

No scripts is EXCELLANT security (it prevents people from hijacking your computer), but it can be a pain in the ass with it’s extra level of security.

Thanks for the moral support Meesh, RuhRoh & Joeymac !!!!
    It’s MUCH appreciated !!!

    More about “no scripts”
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Winner of the “2006 PC World World Class Award”, this tool provides extra protection to your Firefox.
It allows JavaScript, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking web site, guarding your “trust boundaries” against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS) and Clickjacking attempts, thanks to its unique ClearClick technology.
Such a preemptive approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality…
Experts do agree: Firefox is really safer with NoScript ;-)

Just kidding. You rock buddy. This one goes out to you and Jack Black!

    Meesheemey, “I’m Your Man!”
Sure you are LTL! You know I’ve got a weakness for little green monster-men with horns and wings as ears!!!!!

    You, hurry back now!
    ______________________________
I certainly will. I can’t help but lurk, still. I guess I’m an addict now. But some rough circumstances have given me a general “writer’s block.”

If and when things get better I will start posting again, and I will be very happy to explain, at that time, if anyone might be interested. Yeah, I know. What kind of egomaniacal self centered jerk would think anyone would even care? Answer- This kind.

“I’m Your Man”, “A Thousand Kisses Deep”.

Edit: Quoting Leonard Cohen, that is. :)

OhMy! I brought up Leonard Cohen last night because of being voted and receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award alongside artists including Loretta Lynn and Michael Jackson, to honor his lifelong artistic contributions to the field of recording. Cohen is much like Bob Dylan, and he’s a Canuck.
LongTimeLurker as always, was paying attention! I was just teasing LTL and I wanted to let him know he was missed by me.

  • kato says:

    Meesh,

Thanks for educating us about Leonard Cohen.
I wasn’t aware of him until you mentioned him last night.

I HAD to give him a listen, since you spoke so highly of him.

Right now, I am appreciating this particular song:

    Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah

    kato,

badpoet did a parody of one of Cohen’s songs “Suzanne”,a while back, here it is again. He did a great job!

La-Rye (with apologies to Leonard Cohen)

La-Rye takes you down to his place: it’s an RV
That he parks by Brett and Joanne’s
Near an old shed and some firewood.
And you know that he’s a liar
But that’s why you want to be there
And he feeds you all his bullshit
about sex and drugs and murder
And just when he means to tell you
That he has no book to give you
Much less the many CD’s from
His interviews on Jeff Rense’s show
He knows that you’re a racist
And you want to travel with him
And you want to travel blind
And he knows that you will trust him
For he’s touched your innermost fears with his lies.

    And Larry is an scammer
Although not a very good one
‘Cause he’s spent a long time writing
    On his lil Toshiba laptop
And when he knew for certain
    Only morons would support him
He put PayPal on his website
And sold T-shirts to then fleece them
He knew that he’s a loser
Long before the cesspool told him
    Forsaken, almost human
He sank beneath their satire like a stone
Yet they want to travel with him
And they want to travel blind
And he knows that they will trust him
For he’s touched their vile hatred with his lies.

    Now La-Rye takes your hand
And he leads you to his camper
    He is wearing gaudy clothing
    Cheaply bought from Wal-Mart counters
And the sweat pours down like crazy
    On our queen of Winnebago
As he tells you to be patient
That his tell-all book is coming.
There are morons like the doctor
Thinking they are so much better
    There is Kristen, Patti, Jeanniejo
All are blinded by a hatred
    While La-Rye holds the mirror
And they want to travel with him
And they want to travel blind
    Avoiding La-Rye’s looking glass
For he’s laid bare the ugliness of their minds.

Just a cool guy hanging out. You can hear wisdom in his voice.

joeymac….What’s so funny is that you can tell he thinks he missed his calling as a singer….he obviously thinks he has this great voice. (Okay…he’s pretty much on key, which is more than I can say about myself, but recording for the world…I DON’T THINK SO.)

LTL…hope all is okay. Of course, we are interested.

To the many wonderful friends up north. It’s too bad I hate cold weather because I’m beginning to think there are some pretty exceptional Canadians….not that I didn’t know that already. This is not my first experience with wonderful Canadian citizens.
